15 March 2013: Changes to Visitor, Business and Medical Treatment visas from 23 March 2013. New forms, checklists and changes to fees.

Tourist visa (subclass 676) has been replaced by Visitor visa – Tourist Stream (subclass 600)
Business visa (subclass 456) has been replaced by the Visitor visa – Business Visitor Stream (subclass 600) or Temporary Work (Short Stay Activity) visa (subclass 400) depending on the purpose of the visit
Medical Treatment Short Stay visa (subclass 675) and Medical Treatment Long Stay (subclass 685) have been replaced by one visa – Medical Treatment visa (subclass 602)

Please note all applications from 23 March 2013 must be on the new forms. Any application received prior to 23 March 2013 on the old forms will continue to be processed.

If you already hold a Tourist visa (subclass 676) or Business visa (subclass 456) these visas are still valid and you can continue to use them for travel until the expiry date on the visa

8 March 2013: Processing arrangement for Visa application submitted at AVAC Bali.

Please be informed that as of 11 March 2013, visa section at the Australian Consulate General in Bali will be close, therefore all visa application that submitted through AVAC Bali will be processed at Australian Embassy in Jakarta.

To all Visa Applicants who need to submit application, submit additional document, collection, or any other submission that related to Australia visa application, may come to Australia Visa Application Center (AVAC) Bali and will be processed only by The Australian Embassy in Jakarta.

18 February 2013: New requirement for all Visa applications to be submitted in AVAC Jakarta as of 25 February 2013

We inform you that from 25 February 2013, original passport is no longer be required to be submitted together with your visa application.

Please prepare copy of your valid passport. Blank pages are not required to be copied, only the bio page (page that mentioned data of the passport holder), endorsement pages (if any, usually on page 4 and 5), the visa pages, pages that have immigration stamp and the last page that contain the passport holder’s address need to be copied.

Please ensure that applicants already prepare both of original and the copy of passport before you come to our staff counter. It would really help our staff counter to legalize carefully.

If the original passport is required by the Embassy of Australia, the applicant will be informed further.

10 October 2012: New requirement for all Visa applications to be submitted in AVAC Bali as of 1 October 2012

We would like to inform that as of 1 October 2012, all Visa applications to be submitted in AVAC Bali will no longer be required to submit original passport. Please prepare copy of your valid passport and submit this copy during the application submission. Blank pages are not required to be copied, only the bio page (page that mentioned data of the passport holder), endorsement pages (if any, usually on page 4 and 5), the visa pages, pages that have immigration stamp and the last page that contain the passport holder’s address need to be copied.

Kindly note that all pages of the valid passport need to be copied, except the blank pages.

Please be advice that this requirement only for application submitting in AVAC Bali.

26 June 2012: Visa Label Free Arrangements in Indonesia from 1 July 2012

Australia’s modern electronic Visa system does not require you to have a Visa label placed in your passport to confirm your immigration status and entitlements in Australia.

To facilitate your travel to Australia make sure you print out a copy of your visa grant notification letter. When you check-in to fly to Australia, airline staff will refer to your Visa grant letter and passport to electronically confirm that you have authority to travel to Australia prior to boarding the aircraft.

New Logistic Fee as of 1 May 2012
We would like to inform you that as of 1 May 2012, VFS Logistic Fee will be adjusted to IDR 180,000 per passport.
This new fee will be applicable for all Regular Visa Applications received at the Australia Visa Application Centre (AVAC) starting from 1 May 2012 onwards, whereas the Logistic Fee for Visa Label Evidencing remains the same.
VFS Logistic Fee adjustment has been approved by the Australian Embassy. We would kindly request you to prepare the payments accordingly.

New requirements for Student visa applicants
From 24 March 2012 all students MUST use the new visa application form: Form 157A ‘Application for a student visa’.
